A beautiful Conure who was rescued from a hoarding bust over the summer. Marsh is a little nippy, but otherwise a sweet and healthy bird! He had a beak so overgrown it was cutting into his throat when he came to us. The adoption fee for Marsh is $200.
Stevie Ray and Ray Charles
Stevie Ray and Ray Charles are doing so so great! They are neutered, dewormed, and UTD on vaccinations and they are ready for their furrever homes! Both are so so affectionate and prefer to be laying in your lap at all times . They have purrfect potty habits and navigate their home so well you would hardly know that they are blind. Our veterinarian gave them an in depth eye exam and doesn’t believe that their remaining eyes are causing them any discomfort and did not think it was beneficial to remove them at this point, though they are 100 percent blind. Their adoption fees are $200. Please fill out the application listed below if you are interested in giving these sweethearts a home!
We do require a “No Declaw Contract”.
This handsome boy is ready for adoption !
Wally is the sweetest and best Frenchie we have ever met ! He is around 3 years old . He loves love and attention and loves adoringly looking into your eyes. He also happens to be paralyzed and in a wheelchair , but he is SO good at racing around in it !
Wally is also unable to control his bladder or bowels, but it’s managed very well by manually expressing his bladder and diapers . He will scoot right onto the potty pad when it’s time to help him potty and waits patiently while you get him all hooked up to his chair .
He gets along with dogs and cats in the house but will chase cats , though he doesn’t harm them when he catches them. Our cats have smacked him enough times that he ignores them at this point , but we definitely like to be open and honest about our rescues . He loves going for walks and being social . He also loves snuggles on the couch .
Wally has been getting acupuncture treatments and they really help him, and we would like his future family to continue with those treatments. Our veterinarian at Great Plains Veterinary Services in Arcadia offers acupuncture.
Wally is neutered , UTD on all vaccines , current on HW prevention and flea/tick prevention and negative for intestinal parasites.
Some things to consider, paralyzed dogs are very prone to urinary tract infections , and his future family needs to be aware of that and be prepared to have infections occasionally and be prepared to treat them . Frequent bladder expression and keeping his diapers changed are extremely important in preventing UTIs. Wally also needs to placed in a drag bag when not in his chair to prevent abrasions and injuries from “scooting “. We have all of his supplies and will instruct his future family on where to buy more .
We know that it will take a very special family to be our very special boys furever , and we will be extremely choosy about his potential adopters . We understand it may take months or even years for Wally to find who he’s looking for , and he will be safe and loved here with us until that perfect family is found .
Wally May be a little different , but he’s so so perfect and so worthy of love ! Anyone would be lucky to have our sweet speed racer in their hearts and home
