NayNay the turkey came to O&F after surviving an attack from dogs in spring of 2019. She was the lone survivor of her original flock. Nan was originally rescued by our partner rescue WildCare, where she underwent several surgeries to survive. Once she was healed, she was transferred here to us to start her happily ever after. NayNay is affectionately referred to as the barn manager. She runs a tight ship, overseeing produce sorting and demanding snacks and attention. She loves hugs, songs, scratches, and blueberries. NayNay has had multiple surgeries on her hip and foot over the years, and in her golden years has some arthritis. It doesn’t stop her from going into her yard and taking dust baths, napping in the sun, or chasing bugs, she is just a touch slower these days. She lives life on her terms, in safety and love, as all beings deserve.
